Capalaba Physio (Capalaba Physiotherapy Centre) is the longest running physiotherapy practice in the Redlands.
Over the years we have helped thousands of people achieve a better health outcome.
Ruth Paterson established the practice in 1975 and then sold it to Mollie Martin 5 years later. With the opening up of new housing estates, the Redlands district grew and so did the practice.
Mollie developed sore thumbs (not great for a physio) and sold the business to Katrina Dalzell who had just returned from working overseas. At that time Capalaba was the 6th fastest growing area in Australia.
After 18 months in the old Post Office Block at 51 Old Cleveland Road, Katrina relocated the practice just around the corner to Redland Bay Road and named it Capalaba Physiotherapy Centre.
In January 1991, the practice was accredited under the Australian Physiotherapy Association’s new Accredited Practice scheme. It was in the first intake of 27 practices within Australia to achieve this. Katrina was the State Accreditation officer for a few years in the mid 1990’s.
