Graduated from the University of Queensland in 1977. After a brief stint in hospitals in Canberra and Brisbane, she worked for 11 years in a private practice in the Harley Street area in London. There she developed her special interest in physiotherapy for orthopedic conditions including acute and chronic spinal and other joint injuries.
On returning to Brisbane, she established Brisbane City Physiotherapy where she worked for 10 years. She now balances her hands-on treatment role with work as a rehabilitation provider. She works closely with a self-insurer, employers and in a small multi-disciplinary team in Stones Corner. Here, her assessment skills combine with the overseeing of physical programmes, teamwork and case management to minimise disability following Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and workplace-related injuries. Deb oversees return to work programmes for injured workers and pain management programmes for clients with chronic pain conditions. She also provides training in workplace ergonomics and manual handling.
Deb has been working part-time at Capalaba since 2008 and enjoys treating all musculoskeletal conditions especially shoulder and knee conditions. She is also happy to design a pool or gym programme for you.
